NEW YEARS CARD 2025:
The goal of this project was to design a New Year’s card to give to friends and family while experimenting with risograph printing, a technique I find fascinating for its vivid colors and unique imperfections. I started in December and finished in February, which inspired the title “A too late, not too late New Year’s Card.” The front serves as a cheerful, colorful poster, while the back playfully explores New Year’s resolutions, offering multiple choices for writing a personal one.
PROCESS AND MY PART:
I designed the poster entirely on my own, using interactive tools based on p5.js developed by SchultzSchultz. With this project, I wanted to broaden my understanding of what’s possible with various printing techniques and explore creative approaches to designing a New Year’s card. It served as both an experiment in process and medium, pushing the boundaries of traditional New Year’s cards. I’m considering creating another version next year.
